DoFollow

Pictures of every step: https://blogwriter.pro/tools/dofollow/#install

1. Move things out of Downloads first. On a Mac, drag DoFollow into Applications. Put the
"Chrome extension" folder somewhere you keep, like Documents: Chrome reads it from
there every time, and the extension disappears if the folder is deleted.
(Windows: right-click the zip, Extract All, and extract it somewhere you keep.)

2. Open the DoFollow app. The first time, your computer stops it because it is not
signed with a paid certificate. Nothing is wrong with it.
Mac press Done (NOT Move to Bin, which deletes it). Then open System Settings,
Privacy & Security, scroll to Security, press Open Anyway, confirm with
Touch ID or your password, and press Open Anyway once more.
Windows click "More info", then "Run anyway" (or "Open" if it shows a
              Security Warning instead).
It then offers to install Claude Code, which holds your Claude login: say yes.
Nothing else appears. DoFollow runs quietly in the background.

3. In Chrome, open chrome://extensions, turn on Developer mode (top right), click
"Load unpacked" and choose the "Chrome extension" folder. Pin it from the puzzle
   piece in the toolbar.

4. Click the DoFollow icon, open Setup, and click "Log in with Claude". Your browser
opens claude.ai, you approve, and that is the whole setup.

Everything stays on your computer: your profile, your list and your images. The app is
just the part Chrome is not allowed to do.

Already have an older DoFollow? Your projects and lists are kept; only the program changes.
  1. Drag the new DoFollow into Applications and choose Replace. Open it (the Open Anyway
step above comes back once, because it is a new download). It stops the old one itself.
  2. Open the folder you loaded the extension from before, and replace everything in it
with what is in the new "Chrome extension" folder. Then press the reload arrow on
     DoFollow in chrome://extensions.
From then on, new versions show a note in the extension: press Update and that is all.
